On October 23, 2012, Jesu Otaku internet video personality posted a video blog entry requesting a website designer. I responded to her posting with my resume and portfolio, which showcased that I could create a site that met her requests. I offered to build the website in a contact management system which allowed her to easily maintain and update herself.

She requested the following requirements:

Visually engaging layout
WordPress application with plug-ins
Method to post videos from her Blip.TV account
Twitter feed displayed in the sidebar
PayPal donate button
Section of the website to display her weekly live stream broadcast
Facebook application connecting comments to the visitors’ Facebook accounts

After I completed The Jesu Otaku Anime Review, I was hired to work on the Critical Marine website. Critical Marine, another Internet video personality, requested a website with similar functions to Jesu Otaku Anime Review and a design tailored to his current branding.

For his website, he required the following:

WordPress layout design that matched his current branding
PayPal donate button
Amazon wishlist button
Twitter feed display in the sidebar
J Query slideshow showcasing recent posts

Recently, I had completed two websites this month for Greensburg Art Center and Law Offices of Charles E. Luceno. Both of these clients were pleased with the websites I created using the contact management system, WordPress.

Additionally, I completed new illustrations using Adobe Illustrator for clients and friends.

With my recent work on the Greensburg Art Center website, I am also working as an assistant animation instructor. Here is the poster that I designed for those classes and some examples of the work the students created.

My first website client, Rachael Burke, took advantage of my free offer to convert her site to the contact management system, WordPress. Here is a direct link to the website (http://rjacobsburke.com/). I am really pleased with how this website came out. I am looking forward to assisting her make updates to the website as she continues instructing painting classes at Edinboro University and creating new bodies of work.

In providing the best service to my clients, I have been offering to upgrade their websites to the contact management system, WordPress. This will allow them to have complete control to upload and edit content from any computer or mobile device. As of right now, the 101st Airborne 502 PIR WWII re-enacting group has decided to convert to this system. The status at this point in time its on hold until the hosting client installs WordPress.

This past month I started to get involved with the Greensburg Art Club by operating as assistant animation instructor with classes. I am looking forward to this program as it will allow students of animation to learn the fundamentals of this process without attending a major art school or college. I am also offering my services to the club by upgrading their website in to WordPress.

Recently, Adobe completed its 2011 beta testing of Adobe Muse, a website design program, that will allow the user to build a website without the use of HTML coding. I gave this program a test ride with my 82nd Airbiorne 508 PIR WWII Living Historians website. Some of the tools are similar to Adobe In-design and Illustrator. In order to improve this program, it would need an object alignment tools or a table tool. Adobe Muse is a good tool for a graphic designer to build a simple website if do not want to use any code. I am curious to see how Adobe will improve this product.
